Baritone (1997)
Spencer was raised in Kalamazoo, MI. He
spent 3 years in the Army right after he graduated from high
school. He returned to Kalamazoo and attended Western Michigan
University receiving a BA and an MA degree. He then started his
teaching career in Portage, MI, and then moved to the Detroit area
where he was an elementary school Principal for 28 years. He
retired in 1992 and moved to Sarasota, where he became a founding
member of the GCMC and its first President. He is currently a
Board Member and continues to work hard for the chorus.
Hobbies: Travel, working out daily at an
athletic club (Does eye movement count?) and socializing with his
friends.
