Tenor 2 (2006)
Rod was born in
Sarasota and lived here until 1980. For the next 24 years he lived
and worked in North Carolina. Rod attended the Ringling School of
Art which led him to the job as Artistic Director for a Christmas
display company where he designed both mall interiors and outside
displays. Locally he did all the lights at Cypress Gardens at
Christmas time. Rod’s musical background started in 9th
grade when he sang solo at Sarasota Municipal Auditorium. He also
had a quartet for 12 years called “Acceppella Fellas” and sang with
the Men’s Chorus in Charlotte, NC. Rod is proud to say he has 3
children and 7 grandchildren which keeps him busy and scares away
most prospective boy friends.
Hobbies: Cooking,
swimming, dancing, music and shooting pool.
